Liverpool welcomes cultuRED – new supporters’ group celebrating diversity
Launch of cultuRED
Liverpool FC has officially announced the formation of cultuRED, a new Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) and multifaith supporters’ group. The initiative has been welcomed as another key step in ensuring all supporters feel represented, respected and heard within the club’s wider fan community.
The group will take a seat on Liverpool’s official Supporters Board, giving fans of all faiths, cultures and ethnicities a meaningful role in shaping conversations at the highest level of fan engagement.
Commitment to inclusion
Through its Red Together programme, Liverpool continues to set the standard in promoting unity and belonging. The introduction of cultuRED reinforces that commitment, extending the club’s message of togetherness beyond Anfield and into every corner of its global fan base.
The group’s core purpose is to “grow the message of togetherness alongside the club and its fan base regardless of location” and to “enhance supporter understanding of cultures outside of their own.”
It also seeks to create a space for those who may have felt “visible yet unheard”, building meaningful connections and ensuring every supporter has the opportunity to contribute to the club’s cultural identity.
Representation across the spectrum
Made up of 14 members from a wide range of backgrounds, cultuRED will work closely with existing fan representatives, club leadership and community organisations. The group’s diversity reflects Liverpool’s global reach and the shared values that unite its supporters across continents.
Founder Harinder Singh expressed his gratitude, saying: “On behalf of cultuRED, I’d like to thank the club for such acknowledgement. In this day and age, our fan base reflects the richness of diversity and we see the support the club gets the world over.”
He added: “We want to connect with all groups and backgrounds. We won’t exist in a bubble, our organisation ensures these vital communities have a meaningful voice and presence.”
