Klopp’s Expanding Football Journey

Jurgen Klopp continues to add fresh chapters to an already eventful post Liverpool life. His role as Global Head of Soccer for the Red Bull group has already placed him at the centre of major football operations, covering RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Salzburg. The task is substantial, shaping football identity, recruitment, and long term planning across a global network, yet Klopp has shown no sign of slowing down.

New Ventures Beyond the Touchline

Alongside his Red Bull responsibilities, Klopp has also pushed ahead with a personal passion project in Liverpool. Together with his son Marc, he is developing a new padel sports hub titled Klopp’s Padel FC. The first UK location is targeted for Wavertree Sports Park, placing this modern racket facility in a community long familiar with Klopp’s influence. The venture signals his enduring connection to the city he once transformed through football, blending sporting innovation with local roots.

Return To The Camera

Despite multiple commitments, Klopp has now confirmed that he will also step back into broadcasting. Posting on Instagram, he announced that he will serve as a pundit for MagentaTV, the T Mobile associated broadcaster covering the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, Canada and the USA. Joining him on screen will be Bayern Munich great and World Cup winner Thomas Muller.

The broadcaster has expressed clear excitement about the appointment. “Jurgen Klopp embodies passion and enthusiasm for football in its purest form. That’s why it’s great that he decided to join us to work as a TV expert again,” says Arnim Butzen, Head of TV at Deutsche Telekom.

“His deep understanding of the game, his fire in analysis and his humor make him unique. At MagentaTV, we offer viewers the best expertise and good entertainment around the clock with an outstanding variety of content.”

“And the expert combination of Thomas Müller and Jürgen Klopp is already world champion.”

For Klopp, the challenge appears equally appealing. “I really want to experience this World Cup again from the experts’ perspective. At the same time, I know that this marathon tournament will offer its own challenges. At MagentaTV, we want to inspire people with the right mix of football expertise and entertainment and always be close to the action.”
