Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba selected four Liverpool players from their 3-0 win over Bournemouth for his Sky Sports Premier League Team of the Week on Monday.
Bamba, who scored the opening goal as Cardiff fought their way to an impressive 2-1 win at Southampton on Saturday, is a huge admirer of The Reds.
The veteran centre-back gave his reasons for including Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Gini Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino in his Team of the Week selection.
“… Virgil van Dijk, I just love him. He’s the best defender in the league, and Andy Robertson, he’s the best left-back in the league.
“Georginio Wijnaldum had a very good game for Liverpool and scored a goal…
“Roberto Firmino has been picking up recently, he’s back to himself.”
Liverpool were certainly in flying form against Bournemouth but now they have turned their thoughts to next week’s Champions League tie with Bayern Munich at Anfield.
The Reds are currently in Marbella, Spain for a warm-weather training camp as they prepare to face the Bundesliga giants.
