Can Klopp Deliver Historic Premier League Success?

Jurgen Klopp has Liverpool fans dreaming of what could happen at the end of this dramatic Premier League campaign.

This season, the Reds are flying high and are locked in an intense battle for the top-flight title with currently reigning and defending champions Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues rallied to a comfortable and dominant outright victory last season, seeing a little challenge from any of their supposed rivals in the division.

But this term has been a different story. Despite a strong start to proceedings and looking seemingly likely of once again running away with the title under their Spanish coach, Man City have instead endured a testing challenge from the Merseysiders.

Liverpool are currently 6/5 with bet365 in the Premier League betting to secure a historic title triumph and cement Klopp in the club’s folklore at Anfield. Man City are still the favourites to retain their crown but the Reds are looking dangerous and more than capable of securing a slice of history this current campaign.

Klopp has built an extremely strong squad of players and look a solid force in all departments, from their backline to the attacking line-up.

With Brazilian stopper Alisson Becker between the sticks and a defence which is marshalled by dominant Dutchman Virgil van Dijk, Klopp has a reliable rearguard. Meanwhile, there’s much to love about the attacking force of PFA Player of the Year Mohamed Salah, Samba star Roberto Firmino and African ace Sadio Mane.

All three of that dangerous trio are more than capable of securing three points in crucial league games on their own, proven by their incredible exploits this season so far. In midfield, Dutchman Georginio Wijnaldum and Naby Keita are a solid and compact duo, with help also coming from Fabinho and James Milner.

Prospects look very, very promising and Liverpool will head into match week 27 for their massive crunch clash with bitter rivals Manchester United with plenty of confidence but momentum may have slowed a little in recent outings.

Having looked previously superb, Klopp’s men have suffered a couple of damaging draws against Leicester City and West Ham United, before bouncing back domestically with a win over Bournemouth. That 3-0 success over the Cherries, in which Salah, Wijnaldum and Mane were all on target at Anfield, has seen them get back to winning ways and return on track towards a hopeful title triumph.

Although, Man City currently sit atop the table on goal difference after a surge of beneficial results in the top tier. They will undoubtedly push Liverpool all the way in this two-horse race, but the Reds are boosted by having a game in hand on their blue rivals.

So can Klopp continue to deliver the results he needs to secure this historic feat? If the German tactician is able to oversee a famous Premier League title victory then he will write himself into the club’s history books and see himself become an instant legend on the red half of Merseyside.
