Liverpool unveil striking new third kit for 2025-26

Nostalgia in design

Liverpool have unveiled their new third kit for the 2025-26 campaign, a striking sea-green strip that draws heavily on the nostalgia of the 1990s and early 2000s. The colourway is a clear nod to a time when adidas and Liverpool were intertwined with success, with icons such as Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez wearing the Three Stripes.

The launch follows the club’s record-breaking start to their 10-year partnership with adidas. More home and away shirts were sold in the first month than at any other point in Liverpool’s history.

Adidas Trefoil returns

The most notable feature of the new third kit is the return of the adidas Originals Trefoil logo to a Liverpool shirt for the first time in nearly 35 years. Combined with the classic club crest used between 1987 and 1992, it adds a layer of authenticity and heritage to the design.

Complete kit details

The kit is available in three versions: short-sleeve, long-sleeve and a newly introduced cropped option. The full strip includes white shorts with sea-green detailing and socks that match the shirt.

There are also symbolic touches. The Hillsborough 97 tribute is etched on the reverse, with the eternal flames encasing the emblem at the nape of the neck. A hidden Jock Tag features Anfield’s Shankly Gates alongside the iconic “You’ll never walk alone” slogan.

Debut fixtures confirmed

Liverpool will debut the new third kit in their Premier League clash with Burnley on Sunday. Liverpool FC Women will wear the design for the first time in their match against Sheffield United on November 22.

A kit that blends heritage, meaning and style, it is a reminder of Liverpool’s past glories while looking firmly to the future.
