Arsenal for their part started in their usual 4-2-3-1 shape. Arteta and Ramsey started as the holding midfielders, although Ramsey didn't particularly play as a holding player, preferring to get forward and combine with Cazorla, Ozil, Rosicky and the lone striker Giroud. This was at risk of leaving Arteta isolated on transition defence.

It may surprise you to hear this, but with Liverpool FC having played 33 games this season, with only 5 games remaining, Lucas Leiva is still Liverpool’s top tackler. With a total of 68 tackles attempted this season, out of only 12 games the Brazilian has featured in, only now has any other LFC...

It's the same old story once again for Liverpool FC. Inconsistency once again proved to be Liverpool FC's failing as they dropped points against two clubs that they really should beat. Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers are two sides that you'd have bet on for Liverpool FC to come away with three points, especially...
For years under Rafa Benitez and Roy Hodgson Liverpool were accused of being a one-man, and later two-man, team as the goals of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres helped the Reds to continue to compete at the top table with only Dirk Kuyt and briefly Yossi Benayoun helping to break their monopoly on the...
